PROBLEM:
Error when opening Powerepoint 2007 (.pptx) file : No text converter is installed for this file type
SOLUTION:
In order to open .pptx files you need office 2007 or have the FileFormatConverters installed (type in Google download fileformatconverters and click on the link to the Microsoft website), BUT please note, the FileFormatConverters will only work well with all Windows Updates installed. If you don't do all Windows Updates, then in some cases you get the error message: "No text converter is installed for this file type"
