You click on the Word icon to start it, but nothing happens
POSSIBLE SOLUTION:
In some cases Word is running in the background and hangs. Click CTR-ALT-DEL click on Task Manager, click the Processes tab and search for the program WINWORD.exe
Click on each instance and select End Process.
After ending each running winword process, try to start Word again by clicking on the icon
