- make a Remote Desktop Connection to the domain controller
- open a command prompt and type ldp or click on start / run / ldp and press enter
- click on Connection / Connect
- take for example as server: localhost, port 389 and press OK
- then somewhere in the list there will be listed the highestCommittedUSN
