Basic security

1. use several different levels for passwords
Here are some basic things that you can do to decrease the chance that you will get security related issues with your PC:

There are a minimum of 3 levels. The 1st level is the password for your email account. Choose a difficult password, 10+ characters/numbers/other and don't re-use this password anywhere else. The second level is for all other websites and services that you use often. Keep a record of where you have accounts. The 3rd level is for accounts that you create that are not very important.

2. scan your pc once a week with Malwarebytes
You can download the program here: http://www.malwarebytes.org

3. install a virus scanner and do a full system scan at least once a week
You can download for example: AVG (http://www.avg.com)

4. check once a week if there is an update for Adobe Reader

5. check once a week if there is an update for Adobe Flash Player

6. check once a week manually if there are Windows Updates for your pc
